FAQ's

Q1. How much do your trips cost?

We don’t provide prices online because our trips are all slightly different, so the price varies accordingly. This is because there are lots of variables, like lodge choices, extra activities, and level of Guiding. We are always happy to send indicative rates, with no obligation to book. If you’d like a ballpark price for a trip, please drop us an email, give us a call, or send us a WhatsApp.

Q2. How does booking work?

Once we hear from you, we’ll get in touch to discuss what it is that you’re looking to do. After an initial conversation, we’ll come to meet you to get down to some of the finer details. We’ll then send you a proposal for your bespoke itinerary, with an inclusive price. After that, we just need to know your travel dates, and will ask for a deposit to confirm your trip. We’ll take care of all of the details, so you just need to arrive and enjoy yourself.

Q3. Do you only offer the trips on your website?

No! We have operated all over the world, and the trips online are just a few example itineraries of some of our favourites. It’s always worth getting in touch, and we can nearly always help. If the trip you want is outside of our expertise, we’ll be happy to point you in the direction of somebody else who can help.

Q4. Will you help me with equipment buying?

Absolutely. We can run private shopping evenings in closed stores where we’ll talk through kit options and you can buy everything you need whilst we’re on hand. We always send a detailed kit list, with examples of recommended products. We can also offer full buying services if you’re pushed for time, or visit you to check what you’ve got and advise what you need in addition. We also offer discount programmes with specialist retailers.

Q5. Can you help with training?

Yes, we can provide training ideas, and even Private Guiding for training weekends. We can also recommend personal trainers who have travelled with us, as well as useful hints and tips.

Q6. Are the adventures suitable for my kids?

We have a number of families travelling with us each year, and can build a trip that works for your children, whatever their age.

Q7. We’re not mountaineers, can you help with multi activity trips?

Of course! Although we’re mountain specialists, the majority of our trips are adventurous rather than arduous. We can build multi activity trips where you can try a bit of everything; canoeing, mountain biking, hiking and paddle-boarding, as well as meaningful interaction with local rural communities.

Q8. Can you help with flights?

We don’t organise flights, but we work with an excellent flight agent who specialises in complex routings; perfect for multi centre trips. We also work with Skytime, a jet charter service, if you’d like to fly privately. We can also advise on local airports if you have your own jet.

Q9. Will you personally lead our trip?

We are available to personally lead adventures, but for the most part we use International Mountain Guides, or local expert Guides. We find that local knowledge is an invaluable resource, so even when we do lead a trip, we will always have the support of a full local crew. If you would like one of us to lead your trip, please contact us for a quote.

Q10. Can I raise money for charity?

We run a number of trips each year where teams raise money for a charity of their choice. We will invoice for the costs of the trip separately, so you are free to raise money for whichever cause is close to your heart, and 100% of what you raise goes to the charity.

Q11. Do you have any trips I can join?

As a rule, we don’t run “open” style trips with set dates which anyone can book on to. But we can run trips with no minimum numbers, so even if you’re looking to travel alone, or as a couple, we will be happy to organise something for you.

Q12. How do I book Rhys for a speaking engagement?

Please contact us via the site, and Rhys will get back to you straight away to discuss your requirements.

Q13. I want to climb Mount Everest, can you organise it for me?

We can consult on all aspects of high altitude mountaineering, including ascents of Everest and the Seven Summits. We often won’t organise the climbs themselves, but we can provide impartial consulting and advice to pair you with the best outfitters on the mountain, and source a private Guide that's the best fit for your personality. We have previously helped climbers to successfully reach the top of Everest.
