TREK THE SAHARA

A true Lawrence of Arabia Experience, spending four nights camping in the desert in luxury bedouin style camps, hiking the dunes each day.

Trip Overview

You’ll fly in to Errachadia Airport via Casablanca, before heading out to Merzouga: the staging post for your Sahara Desert Trek. You’ll spend the next few days hiking in the vast dunes, sleeping each night in luxury bedouin style camps. You’ll be supported by a team of camels and camel drivers, with cook’s situated in each camp too. On the final day, you’ll have the chance to try sand boarding and possibly quad biking, before heading back to civilisation and transferring back to Errachadia for flights home.

Accommodation & Service

For this adventure, you’ll be staying in different fixed bedouin style luxury camps in large private tents with double beds, private bathrooms and ensuite facilities. You’ll have a qualified English speaking local Guide throughout, as well as a team of camel drivers and camels to transport your equipment. When in Errachadia or Merzouga, you’ll stay in the best available hotels.

The Itinerary

Day 1: Fly London - Casablanca - Errachadia

Fly to Errachidia via Casablanca (Royal Air Maroc). Arrive around Midnight and overnight in a hotel nearby.

Day 2: Transfer to Merzouga - Desert Camp

Today you’ll start to leave civilisation behind as you venture in to the Sahara Desert. You’ll hike or camel ride to tonight’s camp, and settle in for one of the greatest star shows on earth.

Day 3: Full Day Sahara Desert Trek

Today is a full day to experience the challenging hiking conditions of the Sahara Desert. Distances and timings are left flexible to allow plenty of optionality. Overnight in a different luxury bedouin style camp.

Day 4: Full Day Sahara Desert Trek

Today is a full day to experience the challenging hiking conditions of the Sahara Desert. Distances and timings are left flexible to allow plenty of optionality. Overnight in another bedouin style camp.

Day 5: Full Day Sahara Desert Trek

Today is a full day to experience the challenging hiking conditions of the Sahara Desert. Distances and timings are left flexible to allow plenty of optionality. Overnight in another bedouin style camp.

Day 6: Sand Boarding/ Quad Biking - Transfer to Merzouga

This morning you’ll be able to try sand boarding or Quad Biking (optional), before leaving the desert and heading back to Merzouga. Overnight in a Hotel.

Day 7: Morning Flight Errachadia to London.

It’s an early start to catch the only flight of the day at 08:50, back to Casablanca and connecting onwards to your final destination.
