Our experience comes from years spent exploring and leading journeys in demanding places.
Before Monix, our lives were shaped by a deep commitment to exploration. This included personal expeditions to the world’s most remote and challenging environments, from the highest mountains on each continent to remote ascents deep in the Arctic Circle. These journeys demanded resilience, preparation, and the ability to stay calm and focused when conditions were unpredictable.
Alongside this, we built our professional experience designing and leading expeditions for others. From private ascents of Kilimanjaro to complex journeys in remote regions, we learned how to look after people in challenging environments. How to manage risk quietly. How to make good decisions under pressure. How to create a sense of calm when it matters most.
Monix was created at the intersection of these two paths. Personal exploration at the highest level, combined with years of guiding and designing journeys for others. Together, they inform how we approach every expedition today, with care, confidence, and respect for the trust our clients place in us.
