The Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Soča Valley

Arrive at Ljubljana Airport where you will be met by your driver. From here you will be taken to the very heart of Soča Valley to check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the area with a guide.

Day 2: Lake Bled

After breakfast you will be collected for your private transfer to Lake Bled. Surrounded by the Alps this lake really has the wow factor. From here you’ll take a trip across the lake in the traditional Pletna boat and absorb the atmosphere. You will experience a private boat ride to the island of Bled. Just you, the oarsman and tranquility all around. Here you explore the famous island church before heading to Bled Castle which offers the best views around.

Day 3: Triglav National Park - Mount Vogel

After breakfast your guide will be waiting for you at the hotel. From here you will have a private transfer to Triglav National Park where you will spend the day hiking in the National Park, before taking the cable car up Mount Vogel at the head of Bohinj Valley.

Day 4: Mt Triglav

After breakfast you will be collected by your guide and will head to the trail head to start your climb up Mt Triglav. At 2,863 metres Mt Triglav is the highest mountain in Slovenia and the Julian Alps.

Overnight at Kredarica Hut at 2515m.

Day 5: Summit

From the Kredarica Hut the climb to the top is Via ferrata and is the most demanding part of the climb. This section usually takes around 2-3 hours of climbing to reach the summit. From the summit you should be rewarded with a spectacular view for your efforts. On a clear day you can see across the Julian Alps, all the way to Grossglockner in the Northwest and to the Adriatic Sea in the South. Then it’s back down to Bled for a well earned shower and a celebratory dinner.

Day 6: Ljubljana & Private Culinary Workshop

After breakfast depart for a day sightseeing in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. At the heart of Ljubljana is the beautiful Old Town, with medieval buildings overlooked by the city's hilltop castle. After a day exploring you will get ready to make and taste traditional Slovenian cuisine. You will be taken on a culinary journey around Slovenia. With this hands-on culinary workshop led by locals, learn how to prepare authentic and traditional Slovenian dishes. You will also get a chance to taste different sorts of Slovenian wines.
